Payments for FFADP services, including transportation to and from the program, are derived from several sources:
Managed Long Term Care
When participants are enrolled in an approved Managed Long Term Care Plan (MLTCP) and they are receiving assistance through the plan that includes Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), then Medicaid will pay for services. FFADP currently holds contracts with the following MLTCPs:
- Fidelis Care of New York
- Hamaspik Choice
- Prime Health Choice
Long Term Care Insurance
Many long term care insurance plans will cover social adult day services, just as long as they have the appropriate rider in their policies.
Services can also be paid for by a family member via a weekly draft from a credit card and/or checks in advance. In addition, if a family has a trust, services can be paid via the trust as well.
